There are a lot of freestyle pages in the city, but I’ve never seen one with an artist as literal as Slim Goodie, who literally jumps out of her bag to spit fire on her freestyle song Motion. Slim Goodie has an impressive background in music, having graduated from the Specs Howard School of Media Arts. Goodie has been making music for more than 15 years and hasn’t slowed down yet. Despite having sickle cell anemia, she started her own lash company, became a mother, and flew to California to release an EP with producers DJ Flippp and 808 Kartel a year ago without any support or a name behind her. Goodie has accomplished a lot so far and despite having quit her full-time work only eight years ago, Goodie has big hopes for the future and even plans to release another project soon. I’ll be keeping an eye on her if she keeps her head straight and concentrates on her goal. Check out her freestyle and let me know what you guys think of her.
