The features on this project are nice artists like Veeze who brings his laid-back style and Vae who Brings her flashy Braggy flow to songs like “Set Em Free” each song on this mixtape has somewhat the same feel to them. That gives off the impression that there definitely was some intention on how Millk wanted it to sound “Story Mode” featuring Sada Baby probably sticks out the most to me The Isley Brothers Sample is well-produced, Sada Baby always knows how to turn a classic into something fresh and new.
This whole tape breaths Detroit I’ve been loving artists like Eastside Eggroll who has a bit of an unconventional wacky style even Jugg Harden impressed me a bit on “Encore” and Big Cezze my new favorite Female artist makes an appearance as well as vets like LOM Rudy who brings his heat on “Cain By Da Presser”.
Overall Ear To The Streetz, Vol 1 is a good start to what could be a great series of mixtapes it has that gripping Detroit sound we all love however sonically it could use a few more diverse sounds and beats to really elevate it to another level would have love to hear someone like Sterl Gotti bring his unique talent to this project.
